The Basic System Builds the Foundation
CitiTech Management Software (CMS) is modular-based and extremely flexible. It was designed to handle all the major functions of the department in a streamlined, easy-to-use application.
It uses Activity-based costing principles to manage resources and infrastructure assets, track service requests and insure work is completed on time, track labor, equipment and material costs and allocate costs to roads, bridges, signs, etc., and evaluate "planned versus actual" costs and performance based on user-defined annual work plans.
The Resource Management component of CMS software includes comprehensive applications to manage employees, equipment, material inventories, contracts and budgets. The "Basic System" is required and forms the basis of CMS software. Additional modules are available to expand functionality.
User Friendly
One of the most important considerations in selecting a data management system is its ease of use. Granted, it must meet management objectives and be supported, but in reality, if the software is hard to use, it won't be used. CMS is extremely user-friendly.
It was designed for common users. The Navigator start-up screens are visually-appealing with common-sense choices that guide the user through the software. Tabs categorize modules into major groups and graphical buttons launch programs. Reports are available on screen. Alert Reminders warn the user of real-time issues that require immediate attention. The Navigators provide snapshots of operations and make data instantly accessible.
The Navigators display shortcuts that present a graphical navigator for each major function. The user can move between other open Windows. They present a graphical interface depicting modules (Work Orders/Requests, in this case). They display reports related to the main Navigator. They offer information from the Alert Reminder for the associated module, Current Statistics, and pie charts graphically representing the statistics. The user "drills down" to see detail.
