John Ramos, NAPA’s representative, manages the IBS (Integrated Business Solutions) Store at the City of Indio Maintenance
Yard. He purchases all parts and shop supplies that the City may need to keep their fleet moving. He provides payments
for commercial repair, and keeps sufficient inventory on hand to insure limited down time to city assets, and administers
all purchases for The City of Indio Fleet Services.
Dennis could see that John would need to be "shown around" CMS, so he recommended CitiTech’s Webinars. In fact, he scheduled
two for John; the first to teach him the basics, and a follow-up webinar two weeks later, to address questions, delve
deeper, and compare notes. When asked how that worked for him, he said, "This worked good for John and I, and we plan to
request more webinars. The scheduling of webinars gives John and I time to discuss questions, possible challenges and their
effects prior to the webinar. This gives us the opportunity to be more direct with our training needs and maximize the
instructor’s time."
John agrees. "The webinar exceeded my expectation, it helped me understand what I need to do to learn the part of Cititech
that I will be involved in. I think it’s a great learning tool. And I believe the follow-up was a great idea. I made a
lot of mistakes and I was able to get answers to why I was making the mistakes when I could show [the trainer] what I was
doing."
Toyasha, who oversees the City’s maintenance tracking program along with her other duties, takes advantage of the webinars,
too! She said, "I really like the webinars! They allow for the flexibility to schedule a meeting quickly to go over one
module or several. It provides really great customer service. And it doesn’t cost anything! I have used the webinars
often when I use/purchase a new module."
John makes the connection between CMS and the NAPA invoice by entering the invoice number in the resource notes of the
Warehouse Requisition form. When he needed notes to show up on the reports he ran daily, he called the support staff at
CitiTech, and they added them. He can even query by the invoice number in the reports screen!
