Software TrainingTwo weeks following installation, users are encouraged to read the User’s Manual, review the Sound-on Tutorial and acquaint themselves with the software using "DEMO" data. This step greatly enhances training, which generally occurs two to four weeks after installation.Qualified, professional instructors perform on-site user training. Training is usually conducted in a classroom setting with computers for students, a television and/or overhead projector and whiteboard. Initial training usually takes 1-2 days and class size should be limited to eight students per session. Follow-up training should be scheduled 90-120 days later to fine-tune user "processes". This session reinforces earlier training objectives, answers user questions and includes advanced training in the Report Writer and SQL. Some users' impressions of CitiTech's training. Installation and ImplementationInstallation of CMS is a simple "1-2-3" process. CitiTech can help with implementation, if needed. Its programming/development staff can build "filters" to autopopulate CMS data tables, eliminating or reducing time needed to manually enter Master Records. Depending on the complexity of the import, this could be a simple or difficult task.Assessing management processes and objectives, developing programs and activities, and implementing work flow and procedures are issues that go beyond the scope of CitiTech software. However, CitiTech has a relationship with a highly-qualified management consultant who specializes in this area and can provide this service. Initial data collection comes from various sources depending on the module. Service Requests can originate from an unlimited number of sources, including the Internet. This module is designed to operate across the organization and can include access from other departments, if desired. Daily Work Reports are processed from paper documents. It is recommended foremen and supervisors enter daily work reports for their crews or teams. Barcoding is in its final stages of development and will eliminate or reduce manual data entry of initial work reports. Primary entry screens for Service Requests/Work Orders, Daily Work Reports, Purchase Orders and Inspections have been optimized to maximize data entry efficiency. These modules include on-line "look-ups" and "Help", dropdown lists, command buttons and "shortcut keys" to maximize data collection. GIS consulting and management services, collection, conversion and integration of data, resulting in "up-to-date" map information, is performed by Applied Geodetics, Inc. One of CitiTech's valued alliances, AG has been designing and implementing GIS and Facility Management Solutions since 1994 and are experts in "Intelligent Mapping Systems". Software PricingCitiTech Management Software pricing will depend on the unique requirements of the community. CMS is affordable, although prices vary depending on the number of users and complexity of implementation and data conversion. Not all modifications are possible or feasible. Future releases may permit modifications that are currently unavailable.Our philosophy regarding modifications is this: If the modification enhances the overall product, fits into the software model and benefits the majority of our user base, we'll make the modification at no cost and make it available to all our users. If, however, the modification is unique to the user and without benefit to our user base, we will charge a development fee. Source code is not available. The software is a dynamic, evolving entity. New revisions and upgrades occur on a regular basis and source code would quickly go out of date. Further, the software is protected by U.S. and foreign copyrights and the warranty would be voided if the user made any modifications to the software. |
